Nigerian Players Abroad Over The Weekend


In the Premier League:

Super eagles Mildfilder, Wilfred Ndidi played the entire duration as Leicester City started the new season on a winning note with a 3-0 away win against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.
Ndidi was deployed as a centre-back, and played a key role as Leicester city kept a clean sheet in the game.

In the same game, another super eagles defender, Semi Ajayi was also in action for West Bromwich Albion as he played for the entire duration of the game.
However, Ajayi was booked for a rough tackle in the 63rd minute.

In Spain:
Super eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze was in action for the entire duration for Villarreal in the first game of the season against Huesca, which ended in a 1-1 draw on Sunday.

In the Same game, Kelechi Nwakali came on in the 62nd minute for Huesca, as the newly promoted club recorded an away draw.

In another venue, super eagles Mildfilder, Ramon Azeez played for the last 10 minutes for Granada as they defeated Athletic Bilbao 2-0 in their first game of the season on Saturday.

In France:
Super eagles striker, Henry Onyekuru came on and provided an assist for AS
Monaco in their 2-1 home win against Nantes, in French Ligue 1 clash on Sunday.

In the same game, Super Eagles winger Moses Simon played for 90 minutes for Nantes as have now
Simon has now played in all Nantes’ 3 league games this season.

In Belgium:
David Okereke was on target for Club Brugge in their 4-1 win against Waasland-Beveren.
Okereke scored club Brugge’s third goal of the game five minutes into the second 45 minutes.

Okereke’s International teammate, Emmanuel Dennis also featured for 72 minutes in the game for Club Brugge.

In Russia:
Nigerian forward Chidera Ejuke scored his first league goal for CSKA Moscow in their 3-1 home win against Spartak Moscow in Sunday’s derby.
Ejuke came on in the 65th minute for his second league appearance, to score CSKA’s third goal in the 92nd minute.

In Sweden:
Former Nigeria U17 international Akinkunmi Amoo made his professional debut for Swedish Club Hammarby.
Amoo came off the bench in the 65th minute as Hammarby recorded a 2-2 draw with Helsingborg in Stockholm on Sunday.
Hammarby are sixth on the log with 29 points, 11 points less than leaders Malmo FF.

In Holland:
Super eagles defender, Tyronne Ebuehi was in action for FC Twenty for 75 minutes as they started the new season on a winning note following a 2-0 home win against Fortuna Sittard on Saturday.

In Serbia:
Sadiq Umar was on target as Partizan Belgrade defeated Rad Beograd 3-0 in their Super Liga clash on Saturday.
Sadiq scored Partizan’s third goal of the game from the penalty spot 10 minutes from time. The forward has now scored 5 goals in 6 league games for the club this season.
