Manchester United threaten to pull out of Jadon Sancho deal

Manchester United will walk away if they can’t they can’t reach a realistic agreement over price with Borussia Dortmund for Jadon Sancho.

Reports had widely suggested that United had agreed personal terms with Sancho, but according to BBC Sport, the report is not true.

Dortmund want about 120m Euros for the 20-year-old and say they want a deal to be done by 10 August so they can get on with their pre-season campaign with no distractions.

United feel that sum – which would be a record for a British player – is unrealistic and does not take into account the
financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

Man United are also wary of repeating the mistake they made in giving Alexis Sanchez a contract worth £400,000 a week.

However, United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said in his press conference on Tuesday that the club would not be rushing to make transfers this summer.

He said, “This transfer window is a long one, every transfer takes its course. It is what it is.”

Dortmund signed Sancho for just £7.2m from Man City three years ago.
